Paul Kist - This is me catching a really easy swarm April 6. I just cut the limb and put the whole thing into the box. There were about 15,000 bees in this swarm. This special box has a screen front, top, and bottom that gives lots of air for hot June or July swarms. The box is made of 1/8 inch thick plywood and is light enough for me to carry up a tree to catch a swarm. Because  I put frames with drawn foundation in the box I can feed the bees and leave them in the box for several days if I need to. Then I justtransfer the frames with the bees on them to a hive box.
